People are taking action across the country as well as right here in Toledo as our voices are uniting against racism and police brutality suffered by the Black community. The Frederick Douglass Community Association has called on our community to raise $1 million for improvements to the community center. Reggie Williams, the executive director for the Frederick Douglass Community Association, said to 'live your protest' and that living your protest means to 'look after your fellow man and aspire to be better people.' We've partnered with the Frederick Douglass Community Association to stand in solidarity with this message and the commitment to make a difference in our hometown. For the next 90 days, we're donating 100% of the proceeds from the sales of this shirt to the Frederick Douglass Community Center. Some can march, some can donate, and everyone can look out for our fellow men and women and aspire to be better people.
If you would like to make a donation directly to the Frederick Douglass Center to assist them in their goal of raising $1,000,000, a trust account has been established at the Toledo Urban Federal Credit Union on Dorr Street. If you would like to volunteer your time, you can contact Reggie directly at reggiewilliams49@yahoo.com.
